| James Fulkerson (trombone), Mick Green, David Murphy
In the 1980s James Fulkerson taught at Dartington and naturally got to
know some of the musicians who lived nearby in Totnes and the
surrounding area. Mick Green and David Murphy are among the best of
these, luminaries of the local jazz scene as well as freeform
improvisers. Fulkerson eventually relocated to Amsterdam, but one night
in August 2004 the trombonist passed through Totnes, marking the
occasion with a concert of improvised music in the back room of the
Kingsbridge Inn. The music was recorded by Richard Douglas-Green and
the result is this CD of exquisite improvisation. |
