Recorded in 1988 during a tour of the then East Germany with saxophonist Deitmar Diesner, this is a fantastic opportunity to hear one of Steve Hubbacks earlier performances. Made just prior to the production of his very first sound sculpture, this DDR performance features one of Steve’s earliest drumset ups, a more regular diy kit (for him anyway). This Halberstadt duo recording is a fantastic musical document that acts as a marker to Steve’s creative beginnings, and where he has travelled from to become one of the finest and most individual sculptor and percussionists in the world.
